Will Jang Hyun-soo (31, Al-Hilal) face Real Madrid?
Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia), the representative of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), won 3-2 in the semifinals of the “2022 FIFA Club World Cup” against Flamengo (Brazil) in Rabat, Morocco, on the 7th.
This marked the first time Al-Hilal reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. It has reached the semifinals in 2019 and 2021. The winner of Real Madrid (Spain) and Al-Ahli (Saudi) will face each other in the final.
Jang Hyun-soo started as a right-back in the 4-2-3-1 formation and played full-time. He played a good defense with four kicks, two header clearings, one interception, and one recovery.
Al-Hilal scored the first goal with a penalty kick (PK) just four minutes into the first half. Salem Aldousari finished the PK obtained by Luciano Vieto.
Flamengo also tied the score with Pedro’s goal in the 20th minute of the first half, but Ger Song was sent off for accumulated warnings in the extra time of the first half, putting him in numerical inferiority.
Al-Hilal took a 2-1 lead again when Aldousari scored his second penalty. Al-Hilal, who had been attacking, ran away by two goals in the 25th minute of the second half with Vieto’s goal. Flamengo scored a follow-up goal in extra time in the second half, but there was not enough time. In the end, it ended with Al-Hilal’s 3-2 victory.
